Monet will be joining us this evening via the skills from Ginger Cook. Spring is in the air and tulips will be blooming. Ginger will update this timeless classic of a field of tulips in Holland.
Another LIVE show where Ginger and Jon will be answering questions from the chat and just visiting with the studio audience.
Keeping with the spring theme, this YouTube lesson has colorful flowers that have been applied to the canvas with help from a palette knife. A great introduction to some basic palette knife work.
Here is another great tulip painting from Holland, “Windmill Landscape with Tulips”.

A Ginger Cook original painting that brings some more color to the springtime. This has a more traditional building with flowers surrounding the landscape.

Thanks so much for letting us use the PAC to help others. I think that people feel that PACs are JUST for when a painting seems hopeless and one needs help. But actually, Personal Art Coaching can be just another set of professional eyes looking to point out a few small tweaks that when applied can make a really good painting into a great one.
And often it's just nice to have an “atta boy” on a painting you know is good, even if your husband thinks it is, or your Facebook friends say so, but you figure they had to say it is!
Can you spot the differences? There are just a few changes but you have to agree, that the “after” PAC is so much better than the “before” PAC. It's just the little things that make all the difference in the final result.
Take a couple of minutes and watch the video PAC that Ginger did for Lorraine.

What's Old and New at the Academy?
As spring approaches, what better way to welcome a beginning to warmer days than three bunnies.
These little fellows are looking over the new flowers and fresh grass.
This was painted on a 16×20 stretched canvas for our Red and Purple Members. This is a 3-Cookie lesson that is about 4-1/2 hours in length.
If Rainbows were Jelly Beans, just think how much better the world would be. This will challenge even the most seasoned artists. Take your time and you will have a masterpiece just begging to be hung.
This was painted on a 20×20 stretched canvas for our Red and Purple Members. This is a Box of Cookie tutorial that is about 7-1/2 hours in length.

Title: Cherokee Roses in Glass Vase. A downloadable Academy tutorial. Painted on a 12×16 stretched canvas. Martin Johnson Heade's painting has to be my favorite artist that Ginger Cook has introduced me to!
This went back and forth with Ginger four times before we were both satisfied with the results. Once again she noticed the small things I did not that made a huge impact on my painting. I will forever be grateful for all she has and continues to teach me.
