What have I learned…well this one is huge and it all happened during our last PAC, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I did the Rustic Barn Waterfall and my colors were off. You said it is a fall painting, being from Florida that doesn’t mean too much to me. I discovered the way I paint was handicapping my ability to get the colors. I watch the tuts on my iPad or TV but then I print Ginger’s reference and paint off of there. Well, I got the colors perfect, but off my printer, not good enough, printers just can’t do it justice at all. I won’t do this again and a huge wake up call, my IPAD will be my resource of reference from now on 100%. This is WHY PAC is SOOO important, thank you Ginger on waking up another one of my senses.

I enrolled in the Academy for the first time back in December 2024. Let me tell you… it IS a game changer. Ginger’s comments and suggestions, along with the video, are concise, easy to understand and HAVE made a HUGE difference in the quality of my 3 paintings I submitted since becoming a member.
I sent in my first reference photos to paint to get Ginger’s opinion this past week. I was expecting a short “Yes, this photo will work” or ‘No you need to look at another photo.” I was blown away by the response I received. Ginger took my 2 photos and reworked them to appear as actual paintings instead of photos. She then included a video where she went over everything I would need to know to give me the best chance of success. I was literally smiling from ear to ear when I saw her reply to my PAC. Ginger and Jon go above and beyond in their help and dedication. This is definitely the place to be to elevate your painting skills to the next level. I am thrilled to be a part of the Academy!
